Periods of paid car parks

Paids parkings are:

  • From 16 May to 2 September 2023 for all car parks (except for the La Terrière beach car park, avenue des Citronniers and Place René Michaud).
  • From 1 July to 2 September 2023 for the La Terrière beach car park, avenue des Citronniers and Place René MICHAUD.
 

The town has 980 paying parking spaces which encourage a faster turn around and easier access to local shops.  From May, all parking pricing will be standardized across the board.

  • From 9.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m.:  €0.35 per 15 minutes*
  • From 9am to 11am: 2 hours free
  • From 8.00 p.m. to 11.00 a.m. :  free
*For the parkings meters, after 4 hours, the 5th and 6th hour: 0.45€ per 15 minutes / 7th and 8th hour: 1.30€ per 15 minutes / 9th hour: 1.80€ per minutes! The pricing are on the parking meter

New blue zones

To enable people access to local shops, part of l’Avenue de la Plage will be part of the blue zone, (maximum time limit of 1 hour). This new area includes La Rue Jules Ferry, La Rue l’Hôtel de Ville and under Les Halles, (excluding market days, Tuesday and Saturday mornings and out of season). Parking discs for € 1 are available at the Tourist Office.

New parking meter zones

La Voie du Maupas, (running parallel to the Maupas car park) as well as the car park at La Terrière beach and part of l’Avenue des Citronniers to La Terrière become paid parking zones.

 

FUN BUS (free shuttle bus)

The Fun Bus is a public transport service financed by the town of La Tranche sur Mer.  It’s free and available to everyone. It enables you to get to the different areas of the town and to the beaches.  Respect it, it’s running just for you!  The Fun Bus goes into the main traffic circulation and aims to limit the number of cars travelling during the peak summer period.
