Parking zones in La Tranche sur Mer

By car

During the summer months, access to and parking in the centre of La Tranche sur Mer can be difficult due to the crowds. Choose parking on the outskirts of the centre, such as the Grande Plage car park, the Maupas car park or the Avenue du Général de Gaulle car park (a 10-minute walk from the town centre).


Pay car parks

The municipality has 980 paid parking spaces in the high season, to encourage vehicle rotation and provide easier access to local shops.

Paid parking from 17 April to 31 August 2025 from 11am to 8pm (from 01 July to 31 August 2025 for the La Terrière beach car park)

  • Enclosed car parks: €0.35 per quarter of an hour
  • Pay and display car parks: first 4 hours - €0.35 per quarter of an hour / 5th and 6th hours - €0.45 per quarter of an hour / 7th and 8th hours - €1.30 per quarter of an hour / 9th hour - €1.80 per quarter of an hour (rates shown on pay and display machines).

Blue zone parking

To enable residents to access local shops, some car parks near the town centre are designated ‘blue zones’. Parking is limited from June 1 to September 15. European blue discs are available for sale (€1) from the Tourist Office.

FUN BUS (free shuttle bus)

The Fun Bus is a public transport service financed by the town of La Tranche sur Mer.  It’s free and available to everyone. It enables you to get to the different areas of the town and to the beaches.  Respect it, it’s running just for you!  The Fun Bus goes into the main traffic circulation and aims to limit the number of cars travelling during the peak summer period.
